1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of electrical services, including infrastructure, commissioning, and reticulation, by Vanlect Electrical Systems ("the Contractor") to the client ("the Client") within the Republic of South Africa.

2. Quotes and Estimates

  • All quotes are valid for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of issue.
  • Quotes are based on visual inspections and information provided by the Client. Unforeseen structural or electrical faults discovered during commencement may incur additional costs.
  • All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and exclude VAT unless otherwise stated.

3. Compliance and Standards

All electrical work carried out by Vanlect Electrical Systems will comply with the South African National Standards (SANS 10142). Upon successful completion and testing of the relevant installation, a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) will be issued where legally required, provided all outstanding accounts have been settled in full.

4. Payment Terms

  • As Stated in Tenders , Pre Contracts, Proprosals and all client aquisition documents.

5. Liability and Warranty

Vanlect Electrical Systems provides a workmanship warranty on new installations. This warranty does not cover materials or equipment supplied by the Client, nor does it cover damages caused by load-shedding, power surges, lightning strikes, tampering by third parties, or general wear and tear.

6. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

We may share necessary details with trusted third parties only when legally required (e.g., registering a CoC with the Department of Labour or authorized inspection authorities). We implement reasonable technical and operational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or loss.

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request the correction or deletion of your personal information.
  • Object to the processing of your personal information.
